Running a business while raising two young children and staying committed to my health isn’t easy, but I’ve found a rhythm that works.
As an entrepreneur, dad, marketer while also trying to keep fit…
Every part of my life has a place in my weekly routine, allowing me to stay balanced and focused.
Today, I’m pulling back the curtain to show how I juggle health, family, and a growing business, while still giving my clients the attention they deserve.
Let’s take a look at how I structure my week:
My Weekly Routine at a Glance
Breaking Down My Routine
Family Time
My two kids, aged 4 and 2, are the center of my world.
Every weekday starts with dropping them off at school at 8.30 a.m. and picking them up at 5.30 p.m.
During the weekends, we make it a priority to spend time together, whether it’s going to the park or exploring new activities.
I dedicate my weekends to them fully, ensuring they get my attention and we build lasting memories.
Business & Entrepreneurship
I run a music school called TravelClef, which focuses on corporate team-building through music. Additionally, we have an e-commerce arm where we sell musical instruments.
Alongside this, I’m also a marketing consultant for businesses, where I help them improve their ad strategies and offer done-for-you services.
During the day, I manage my campaigns, communicate with clients, and write emails for TravelClef and my marketing business.
This allows me to keep the businesses running smoothly.
My most productive hours for client work come between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., where I focus on adjusting their ads and managing their campaigns while ensuring everything is aligned with their goals.
I always make my edits at midnight so as to let the system “warm up” the changes.
Health & Fitness
Fitness has been a priority for me ever since I became a dad.
The wake up call to keep fit came during one day when I was playing with my baby…
And I had difficulty squatting down and standing up easily.
At that time, I neglected my fitness for several years and could see how unfit and inflexible I was.
So now, I’ve carved out time during the week to stay active.
On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, I swim 20 laps, which helps me start my day feeling refreshed.
Wednesday mornings are for cardio and stretching, keeping my flexibility and energy levels up.
Friday mornings are reserved for Pilates, a great way to stay fit while spending time with my wife.
These sessions keep my body and mind sharp, allowing me to approach each day with focus and energy.
How I Leverage My Time with Systems
I’m able to maximise my time by leveraging systems and teams in place for both my businesses.
At TravelClef, I have a dedicated team managing operations, allowing me to focus on strategy and growth.
My marketing consultancy is also set up with clear processes that help me manage client work efficiently.
One of the most valuable forms of leverage I use is ads.
By running Facebook and Instagram ads, I’m able to reach a larger audience without needing to physically be involved at every step.
It’s a system that works around the clock, bringing in new leads and customers.
Another key system I’ve set up is my email list.
Having a subscriber base is like having a direct line to potential customers.
It allows me to communicate promotions, new products, or services, and nurture leads into becoming paying clients.
The combination of ads and email marketing has been a game-changer, helping me reach more people and generate consistent business, even when I’m not actively working.
In summary…
Despite not being the most organised or disciplined person, having a structured weekly schedule helps keep everything in place.
My routine lets me balance work, family, and fitness, while systems like ads and email marketing give me the leverage to achieve more without burning out.
This schedule allows me to stay consistent, focus on what’s important, and make sure that I’m moving forward in all areas of my life.
Whether it’s spending quality time with my kids, growing my businesses, or staying fit, I’ve found a rhythm that works—one that you can adopt or adapt to your own life.
